Summer holidays begin today for many and have already started for others. Perhaps Largo Bay won't be quite as busy as it was back in the inter-war years (above). The same natural attractions are there today - beautiful backdrop, wide sandy beach, calm waters for swimming....but people's tastes have changed, along with the ability to tolerate being cold! Nevertheless I hope this stretch of beach will bring pleasure to many people this summer, as it has done for decades.
This blog is about the history of the villages of Lundin Links, Lower Largo and Upper Largo in Fife, Scotland. Comments and contributions from readers are very welcome!
